July 2018

This is quite a month. July often is. Harvesting with a gigantic combine harvester up the road.

A couple of nice old cars at John's Garage up the road.

Bins looking clean in Pattishall

Rare meeting with my brother for his 75th birthday and cousins Rosemary and Joyce somewhere in Stafford.

My car gets another clean - possibly the first since October!

For Kirri's birthday we go to silverstone and gaze at many lovely cars, including one that is almost the same as what I used to drive in the 1980s.

Kirri's girlfriend Emma's 21st birthday

Rupert's 75th card from me

It's warm again.

Penny from across the road in the village makes me these wonderful embroidered cards.

I meet the lovely Inna on-line

Kirri's 20th birthday card

I learn how to use Google Hangouts and that's my evenings occupied for many months to come.

June 2018

With increasingly annoying roadworks on the A5 my journey from anywhere south requires quite a detour now!

The big cows are back in the far paddock.

Poppies around the drainpipe outside my front door.

It really did get damn hot in June!

May 2018

More great colours now appearing everywhere.

The jackdaw's back too.

A fascinating picture of the sky - looks like mountains in the background. All straight off the camera.

Corgis still keep me very occupied and I thought I would try and make some new-looking ones out of some old wrecks that had arrived with some other order.

April 2018

It's very warm for April! and my car's approaching 100,000 miles too.

An interesting goose visits the field next door.

This lovely Lotus Elan is usually hidden in the garage but was out as I went walking around the next village, Eastcote.

Lots and lots of flowers out in the wild areas, by the side of the road or just looking like weeds.

March 2018

March 2018 was a fabulous month. It began as I escaped the 'Beast From The East' and went to Gozo with my friend Jason who was having a troubled time. My one-time buddy and associate Derek had moved to Gozo and we reckoned that Jason would benefit from a spell in the sunshine and being scared to death by my driving around the roads there!

derek had also bought a 1980s Skoda Rapide 130 and was slowly taking it completely to bits with the idea of putting it back together again.

Gozo was a real delight. Beautiful views everywhere, nice people and cheap.

Then, at the end of the month I went to Anglesey, another island and somewhere I had always wanted to visit. the travel bug seems to have got me now.

February 2018

This month was cold. really cold, and ended with a trip to Amsterdam to see my son Russell and his new daughter Allannah. I wrote a story for her and illustrated it on the way.

Amsterdam seems to want to tell you about sex everywhere. Vaguely portentous, although i wouldn't know then.

Russell's apartment is on the 7th fllor of this remarkable block. All actually quite well built and managed. Nice park all around. Just damn cold.

The Moon, looking good again, a fat pigeon and another rainbow to start 2018 in good style! It's going to be quite a year.
